Welcome to my blog! The purpose of this blog is to review home workout DVDs. I started this blog in 2012 and it has grown. I now also review workouts that are available for free on YouTube. I have also reviewed some sites that stream workouts for a fee. This blog was not created for profit. Any ads you see on this blog you can blame on WordPress. I earn nothing from them. Because of this I am free to be honest and candid in all of my reviews.

The reviews featured on this blog used to be geared toward the advanced home exerciser but due to the unpredictability of life, my fitness level has changed since I started the blog in 2012. So now there are all levels of workouts reviewed on this site.

Next Level: Your Guide to Kicking Ass, Feeling Great, and Crushing Goals Through Menopause and Beyond

It’s been a while since I have reviewed a book here. I read a lot of health/nutrition books but not nearly as many fitness books, at least not anymore. But I came across this one and bought it immediately. Next Level was written by Stacy T. Sims, PhD, and Selene Yeager. Their first book was … Continue reading Next Level: Your Guide to Kicking Ass, Feeling Great, and Crushing Goals Through Menopause and Beyond

DEMANDING Glutes and Hamstrings Workout / Knee Friendly | EPIC III Day 13

Demanding Glutes and Hamstrings Workout / Knee Friendly is Day 13 in Caroline Girvan‘s EPIC III program. OMG. This workout was brutal. I begged for mercy several times! “Knee friendly” does not mean glute and hamstring friendly! It tortured my glutes and hamstrings! No mercy! This workout was recommended to me by a blog reader. … Continue reading DEMANDING Glutes and Hamstrings Workout / Knee Friendly | EPIC III Day 13

Trainers

There are over 2000 reviews on this site. You will note that some trainers are more thoroughly represented than others. I have a problem with hoarding workouts created by my favorite trainers. On this page I will list each trainer who has a workout reviewed on this blog. My favorite trainers get their own page where I will also give a brief bio on the trainer and a summary of their “brand” of workout.

See Trainer List.

Workouts by Type

This page is the real labor of love and the page that will be most useful to myself and visitors. On this page I will list workouts that fall into specific categories:

  • Level (beginner, intermediate, advanced)
  • Muscle Group Worked (upper, lower, total body)
  • Equipment Used (rebounder, kettlebell, etc.)
  • Programs
  • Length (short, long, etc.)
  • and more that I think of! (or that is suggested to me by visitors)

Visit Workout Type page.

**Please note that the new blog format is a work in progress. This new format launched on May 23, 2019, so it will take time to create the content promised on this page. Until that time, you can still visit all of the posts on this blog using the menu at the top of the blog as well as sorting the posts by categories listed in the drop down menu at the bottom of the page (each individual post also has the categories listed on the right side of the page).**

What’s Next

Check out my Current & Upcoming page. I update it several times a year. It will tell you what I have in the works. In addition to that, there is a Streaming page where I list reviews of workouts that are available to everyone for free on YouTube. I also create rotations using workouts that are reviewed on this blog. Check out my Rotations page that lists some of these rotations.
