Reboot Your Butt is a short but excellent and effective glute workout. It is led by guest trainer Heather Dorak who is a “celebrity” pilates instructor and of course Anna Renderer is present to do the introductions and the workout with Heather. The full title of this workout is Reboot Your Butt with this Toning Pilates Workout, so you are using pilates moves to work your glutes.
Now, as I mentioned in Strapless Dress Arm Workout, I used these two workouts as a finisher after an intense Cathe Live total body cardio + strength workout–so I don’t know if that had anything to with how this workout affected me, but it fried my glutes! Seriously! This is an excellent finisher workout to any lower body or total body workout! It is only 10 minutes long but Heather gave each glute a full 5 minutes with little breaks–totally burning those glute muscles out. Another great short but sweet Popsugar workout.
Reboot Your Butt is 10 minutes long; no warm up or cool down. You need a mat and one 5 pound dumbbell.
- Bridge w/ Leg Lift Series (leg will be raised throughout series): in bridge, w/ one leg lifted to ceiling, raise and lower hips; this changes to holding hips up and pulsing; this changes to raising and lowering straight leg while still holding hips up
- Side Plank w/Leg Circle: in modified side plank (bottom knee on ground), raise top straight leg and do small circles, 30 seconds in each direction
- Bent Leg Lift w/ Dumbbell: get on knees and elbows and place DB behind one knee; raise and lower knee; this changes to holding leg w/ DB up high and pulsing; this changes to side hydrants w/ DB still in knee pit
Repeat all exercises on other leg.
