Popsugar: Beat the Belly Bloat With 10 Minutes of Yoga

PSbellybloatyogaBeat Belly Boat Yoga is another 10 minute workout from Popsugar. Anna Renderer is present, but she doesn’t lead this workout. This little yoga workout is led by guest trainer Travis Eliot, creator of the Ultimate Yogi. This is a great, quick little yoga workout but whether or not it will beat your belly bloat–or “detox” you, as Travis states several times during the workout, is a up for debate. It did stretch me out and cool me down after my Cathe Live workout, so I was pleased.

Beat the Belly Bloat Yoga is 10 minutes long and all you need is a mat. Here are the yoga moves you will perform: spine and shoulder twists while standing, forward fold, plank, twisting cobra, cobra to down dog, 3 leg dog; from 3 leg dog bringing knee to tricep on outside of body, knee to opposite tricep (under body), knee back to tricep on outside of body; 3 leg dog into runner lunge, crescent pose, twist to right in crescent, warrior 2, a sort of reverse warrior that stretches you even more than traditional reverse warrior, side angle pose, return to deep lunge and lift one arm to sky while in lunge, lower to elbow plank; in elbow plank raise right leg and bring to triceps, do the same with left leg, return to straight arm plank and down dog. Repeat everything on other side of body except the forearm planks. Instead of the forearm plank do an up dog to down dog. The final active move is boat pose; add a twist to the right and hold then to the left and hold. Squeeze knees to chest and end in corpse pose.
