S.O.S. is part of Jessica Smith‘s Fit in 15 workouts. She has 15 free workouts on YouTube that are all approximately 15 minutes long and this is one of them. The point of her Fit in 15 program is to help you start an exercise program. There is more to her Fit in 15 (free) program then just the workouts, so click on the Fit in 15 link and find out more if you are interested. I am not interested in 15 minute beginner workouts but I am interested in a gentle stretch so I decided to give this a try. And it is a very gentle but thorough stretch. I like deeper and more aggressive stretches too sometimes but after doing a really tough workout (like the Barlates total body mat workout I did this morning) gentle but thorough stretching is what I need.
S.O.S. stands for Stretch Out Stress and it is 15:30 minutes long. Jessica talks for about a minute at the end so it’s only about 14:30 minutes long. These are all standing stretches. It starts w/ deep breaths then shoulder rolls and head rolls. Back stretch (rounding forward). Circle stretch (reach overhead then to side then forward into forward fold and raise up other side). Stretch forearms and wrists. Chest stretch w/ hands clasped behind you. Standing cat/cow (hands on knees). Forward fold. Arch spine w/ hands at small of back. Tricep stretch w/ side lean. Shoulder stretch. Hip flexor stretch. Calf stretch. Standing side stretch w/ legs crossed. Standing quad stretch. It ends w/ more deep breaths.

I really like the short length of many of Jessica’s YouTube workouts. It makes them perfect for doubles workouts, or add ns–or even stacking several together for a longer workout.
