10 Minute Total Body Stretch is a great way to finish off a total body workout. I really love that Linda Wooldridge has her free Barlates warm up and upper and lower body stretches to start and finish workouts but she doesn’t have a total body stretch to finish off a total body workout. Well, Jessica Smith fills in that gap with multiple short (and also free) stretching routines. This is one of them. This stretch is exactly 10 minutes long and there is a timer in the top left hand corner that counts down the time.
10 Minute Total Body Stretch starts w/ side stretches. Standing cat/cow (hands on knees). Spine extensions (hands at small of back, arching spine and looking up at ceiling). Lean forward in split stance and stir the pot (let arm hang down and circle it) then reach arm forward. Straighten and reach arm behind you (still in split stance) then stretch arm out to side, stretching chest. Clasp hands behind you and stretch chest then lean forward, hands still clasped and bring arms up toward ceiling. Stretch back by rounding back and stretching clasped hands in front of you. Cross ankle over knee and lower hips/bottom into one leg squat, stretching glutes. Standing quad stretch. Hamstring stretch. Interlace fingers and stretch arms overhead then circle arms/torso (leaning to side, dropping forward into forward fold, up to the other side and back overhead).
