Earth & Owl: 20 Minute Metallica Rebounder Cardio Workout | Fast 2 Move Combos (Intermediate to Advanced)

As soon as my husband saw the title of this rebounder workout he said I had to do it. He loves Metallica. I am not a Metallica fan but I do like their well known songs, one of which is used in this workout (Enter Sandman).

This a fun cardio workout. The intensity builds as you move through the workout. There no warm up but the first few moves are low intensity enough to serve as the warm up. For the first 3 songs Nikki puts together a combo of 2 moves that you alternate for a minute for before moving on to the next move combo. For each song change you just jog in place. For the final song, the beat is so fast she just has you so a single move for the entire minute and she does them fast. I could not keep pace with her but I went as quickly as I could without getting sloppy. According to my Apple watch I burned 155 calories.

Each move combo is done for one minute. When there is a few seconds left of a move, a video appears to the left previewing the upcoming move. There is a timer in the upper left hand corner of the screen counting down the workout time.

20 Minute Metallica Cardio Rebounder Workout is 20:51 minutes; 50 minute intro; no dedicated warm up and no cool down or stretch.

  1. Low jog/heel raise
  2. Alternating heel digs one each leg + basic bounce while punching arms in front of you then open them out to side in a T
  3. 2 side leg lifts same leg + 2 knee raises same leg, repeat on other leg
  4. Hopping hip/heel shift doing a single arm punch to the side (once each side) + 2 jumping jacks opening arms once overhead in a V and once low upside down V
  5. Repeat #1
  6. 2 side knee raises same leg, reaching same side arm overhead and pull elbow down to thigh + jump forward and back 2x, repeat combo on other leg
  7. 2 quarter turn jumps to same side + 2 hamstring curls same leg, repeat combo on other side of body
  8. Basic bounce, arms are extended straight in front of you, criss-cross arms 4 times + 2 high jumps
  9. Lift one leg to back on a diagonal 2x same leg + 4 lateral ski hops, repeat combo lifting other leg
  10. 4 scissor runs + 2 jumping jacks opening arms out to sides in a T
  11. High knee jog
  12. 4 wide leg alternating heel digs + one wide leg/diagonal kick each leg
  13. 2 jumping jacks raising arms to sides shoulder level + jack legs 2x while raising arms to sides then overhead
  14. Repeat #2 & 3
  15. High knee run
  16. Fast hopping hip/heel shifts while doing alternating single arm side punches
  17. 2 fast wide leg knee raises same leg, repeat on other leg
  18. 2 fast hamstring curls same leg, repeat on other leg
  19. Fast feet sprint
