JessicaSmithTV: 10 Minute Interval Walk

10 Minute Interval Walk is a very basic walking mini-workout and it is one of Jessica Smith‘s free YouTube workouts. Since I am increasing my morning workout time I used this as an add on to her Cardio Step Jam from Walk Strong 3. Between the two I got a nice approx. 45 minute cardio workout. Nothing terribly intense in either workout, but it got my heart rate up. Jessica just does fast marching in this workout but she does mention that if you need more, just jog instead of marching. She does kick it up to a jog in the final interval. This is an interval workout but definitely not HIIT level. She alternates fast marches with a lower intensity move. Each interval is one minute long. This is a great little add on–nothing complicated and no impact but it gets you moving. And you need very little room to do this workout!

10 Minute Interval Walk is 10:30 minutes.

  1. Speed march in place
  2. Low step kicks while pushing arms forward
  3. Speed march in place
  4. Alternating knee lifts w/ alternating arm raises overhead
  5. Speed march forward and back
  6. Alternating low cross kicks bringing opposite elbow toward leg that is kicking
  7. Speed march side to side
  8. Alternate lifting legs behind you (glute lifts) while pushing arms in front of you
  9. Speed march in place; changes to a jog
  10. Step tap side to side
