#232 Kick, Box & Bags is another fun cardio kickboxing class from Cathe Live. It is made up of punching and kicking drills alternated with cardio bursts. There are also a few easy to follow combos. This is also one of Cathe‘s lower impact kickboxing workouts though near the end she adds some higher impact to a few of the cardio blasts. She even says at the end of the workout that this was a “hodge podge” workout–she threw in a little bit of everything, including some moves from her LITE series. It may not be HIIT level intense, but I liked the intensity level. I got a great cardio workout. Plus, the drills at the heavy bag burned out my arms, shoulders and upper back. Some nice conditioning, too.
Kick, Box & Bags is 51:30 minutes. I’m not sure when the warm up ended and the workout began. 3:30 minute stretch. Equipment: boxing gloves or weighted gloves to increase intensity and a heavy bag if you own one. If not, you can shadow box, which is what I did. At 25:30 the class goes to the heavy bags for 9 minutes of punch drills interspersed with intervals of fast feet with fast punches.
