Fit Over 40 Low Impact Cardio Walk is a basic low impact cardio walk from AngieFitnessTV. During the walk Angie talks about ways to make the workout more intense and ways to make it even easier. I went with the more intense options. I wore an 8 pound vest, 2.5 pound ankle weights (5 pounds total) and I held a light hand weight in my right hand. Since this was only 30 minutes I combined with one of Angie’s other walking workouts: 1 Mile Leg Firming Power Walk. Between the two I got a good steady state 50 minute cardio walk.
This workout is also the “Day 1” workout of Angie’s Fit Over 40 workout program. There is a link below the YouTube workout that leads to a webpage about this 30 day plan. The plan itself costs $19.99 but the Fit Over 40 Workouts themselves are free on YouTube. I think I will check out some of them.
Fit Over 40 Low Impact Cardio Walk is 30:57 minutes; 5 minute warm up and 5 minute stretch. Each exercise is done for 1 minute. There are arm movements with each move even if it isn’t mentioned.
- Hamstring curls
- Step side to side with chest press arms
- Low reach lunges across body
- Alternating knee raises
- Alternating heel digs
- Hamstring curls with upright rows
- Stationary taps while reaching arms overhead to other side
- Alternating knee raises, tapping hands together under thigh when knee is raised
- Step touch side to side
- Alternating heel digs
- Repeat #1-10
