AngieFitnessTV: Quick Kickboxing Workout

Quick Kickboxing Workout is part of AngieFitnessTV‘s 15 Minutes to Fit Series. It is a low impact cardio kickboxing workout. In this workout Angie puts together punch and kick combos. This is an excellent finisher workout. I am loving Angie’s 15 Minutes to Fit workouts but I think this one might be my favorite. She created them as finishers to other longer workouts and even includes 2-3 minute stretches at the end so that they are truly “finishers” to whatever workout preceded it. This workout can be used to finish of any kind of workout. Today I combined this workout with her Fit Over 40 Basic Kickboxing Workout. This workout is low impact, just like Basic Kickboxing Workout, but it is done to a brisker pace and also has more complicated combos. Maybe they just seem more complicated because they are done faster. Angie does all of the basic punches plus blocks, back kicks, front knees, side kicks, front kicks. The final combo is some blocks and repeater knees. The final minute of the workout is fast punch and upper cut drills.

At the beginning of the combos a “sticky note,” as Angie calls it, appears in the upper corner of the screen listing the combo that you are about to do so you can get an idea in your head. She has done that in other kickboxing workouts and I do find it useful but none of the combos in this workout were so complicated I felt I needed to look at the sticky note.

Quick Kickboxing Workout is 21:50 minutes; 40 second intro, 3 minute warm up and 3 minute cool down/stretch. Equipment: weighted gloves. I also wore an 8 pound weighted vest, one pound ankle weights and one pound weighted gloves.

  1. Thank you for all the Angie reviews! I love finding new trainers, especially with free content. I’ve always been a Cathe and Alexia Clark junkie but angies workouts are very realistic and doable.

I would love to see you review The Formulaic workouts, they offer 30 days free. I’ve been wanting to try it but I always like to read your thoughts on any workout first lol

    1. I have never heard of Alexia Clark or The Formulaic. They both look pretty interesting. I signed up for Alexia’s newsletter and she sent me a 9 minute workout to try out. I like free trials. I might have to try The Formuliac out at some point.
