15 Minute Bedtime Yoga Stretch for Chest & Back is a routine of very deep yoga stretches for your upper body from Sara Beth. It says chest and back in the title but your shoulders get some intense stretching, too. I actually found some of the stretches uncomfortable but that is probably because I have a long history of chronic shoulder problems. As I was doing this practice, it felt like my upper body has tightened up; which tells me that I really need to spend more time doing focused yoga practices like this that give my upper body some deep stretching and mobility.
15 Minute Bedtime Yoga Stretch for Chest & Back is 15:09 minutes; the practice is actually 13:45 minutes. The last minute is Sara talking about another one of her yoga practices. Equipment: fitness mat. You will hold each pose for several breaths.
- Child’s pose
- Thread the needle
- Cat/cow
- Bound locust (lay on stomach, interlace hands behind you, raise hands upward while also raising chest)
- Lay on stomach on mat, head turned to side (relaxing pose); bring one arm up into cactus on floor, lift torso so you are on side and bend top knee, placing foot on floor, stretching shoulder and opening chest
- Reclining spinal twist
- Repeat #4 but this time also raise the legs
- Repeat #5 & 6 on other side of body
- Child’s pose
