#181 Jabs & Kicks is another live cardio kickboxing workout from Cathe. I found this one intense! I burned over 400 calories, was in my peak heart rate about 1/3 of the workout (according to my FitBit) and my legs and arms got lots of great conditioning from all the kicks and punches. Jabs & Kicks is set up like the majority of Cathe‘s cardio kickboxing workouts: some punch drills and kick drills, some punch/kick combos, all alternated with cardio bursts to keep the heart rate elevated. This is not a low impact workout. There are air jacks, jump kicks, squat thrusts and many other high impact moves. At the 42:15 mark you get a water break then go to the heavy bags for 6 minutes of heavy bag work. You will do punch drills alternate with intensity tabatas consisting of fast feet with fast jabs keeping elbows close to sides. Cathe worked me hard in this workout! Near the end there was a rather complicated combination. I did catch on eventually but got a little confused with the last punch series she added on.
Jabs & Kicks is 53:30 minutes; I think the warm up is about 12:30 minutes (not positive); at the 12:30 minute mark Cathe has you stop and get a drink of water then kicks the workout up to a higher intensity. 6 minutes of heavy bag work and 3:30 minute stretch.
