BullyJuice: 5 MINUTE BACK WORKOUT(NO EQUIPMENT)

I am wanting to try more of BullyJuice’s workouts and I have several lined up in my To Do list, but I decided to do his 5 Minute Back Workout (No Equipment) this morning as a finisher after a longer upper body strength workout. This is a nice little upper body add on/finisher workout. It is also a nice travel workout since it is all body weight. No equipment needed. At the end of the workout (during the final 30 second rest) he recommends repeating it 2 or 3 more times for a 10 or 15 minute workout. This is set to music but he talks you through the workout, giving form pointers so you get the most out of this short workout. I had just finished a longer workout that worked my back but during this workout, I definitely felt my back being nicely worked. There is a timer in the upper left hand corner of the screen counting down the 5 minute workout time. Each exercise is done for 30 seconds of work followed by 30 seconds of rest. If you want a little more, you can always extend your interval. Do the exercise for 40 or 45 seconds and take a shorter rest.

5 Minute Back Workout (No Equipment) is 6 minutes; 45 second intro, no warm or stretch. Equipment: fitness mat.

  1. Superman (traditional supermans except BullyJuice has his arms in goalpost)
  2. Superflies (still on stomach, arms are extended to sides in a T, raise head/chest/arms and hold then raise arms up higher then lower back to start)
  3. Reverse snow angels (still laying on stomach, extend arms in front of you, raise chest while sweeping arms out to sides and down to hips then return arms to start)
  4. Superman pulls (lay on stomach with arms in goalpost, raise arms/chest in superman, hold and pull elbows behind back, push arms back to start then lower hands/chest back to start)
  5. Good mornings (stand with legs together and straight, hinge forward at waist, lower torso until it is in line with hips but only raise partway–you never fully straighten, he stands with his glutes and hamstrings against a wall)
