CoffeyFit Raw: Rebounding #1

Kelly Coffey-Meyer did a YouTube rebounding workout! I was pretty excited when I saw it but I didn’t get to it until this morning. And I really enjoyed it! This workout is done interval/tabata format: 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest. This 20/10 circuit is done 8 times for one 4 minute tabata circuit. This workout contains 6 tabata circuits with a short rest between each one. There are no complicated moves but since it is a HIIT workout (High Intensity Interval Training), the point is to go all out during each interval so you are out of breath. The intensity of the intervals builds with the 4th interval being the hardest (in my opinion) but that’s because you are doing squat jacks. The quads start burning. According to my Apple Watch I burned 247 calories. The warm up and cool down are done on the floor but after doing this workout they can both be done on the rebounder. I really enjoyed this rebounder cardio workout and I hope Kelly keeps making them!

Rebounding #1 is 34:31 minutes; 40 second intro, 3 minute warm up, 1:45 minute cool down and 50 second stretch. The warm up and cool down are done on the floor not the rebounder but shoes are not needed (and as mentioned above, both can easily be done on the rebounder).

  1. High knee run
  2. Sprint
  3. Repeat #1 & 2 three more times
  4. 35 second rest
  5. Double jacks (Kelly calls them hesitation jacks)
  6. Fast jumping jacks
  7. Repeat #5 & 6 three more times
  8. 25 second rest
  9. Double hopping hip twists
  10. Single hopping hip twists
  11. Repeat #9 & 10 three more times
  12. 45 second rest
  13. Squat jacks with a double hop between each squat
  14. Squat jacks (no double hop)
  15. Repeat 13 & 14 three more times
  16. 35 second rest
  17. Double hop jogs (hop 2x on each leg)
  18. Alternating front kicks
  19. Repeat #17 & 18 three more times
  20. 25 second rest
  21. High knee jog
  22. Jumping jacks
  23. Single hopping hip twists
  24. Squat jacks
  25. Repeat #21-24
