CGX: 10 Min Leg Circuit

This was intense for such a short workout! Very metabolic and Caroline manages to work your lower body very well in a short amount of time. You can use it as a finisher or like I did today–to kick off my workout. The short stretch at the end actually gives you a moment to catch your breath before you jump into the next CGX workout, which for me was 25 Min All Lunges. At the end it surprised me that Caroline actually rolls out her fitness mat for such a short stretch.

The exercises in this workout are done interval style: 40 seconds of work followed by 20 seconds of rest. There is a timer in the upper right hand side of the screen counting down your intervals and recoveries. During the recovery Caroline previews the next exercise. There is also a little bar at the bottom of the screen that counts down the entire workout time as a percentage.

10 Min Leg Circuit is 12:01 minutes (this time does not include the optional 8:58 minute warm up) w/ a 1:20 minute stretch. Equipment: dumbbells and a fitness mat. Caroline is using 115kg/33 pound dumbbells. The weights listed below are what I used.

  1. High squat (squat w/ DBs held in front of you at shoulder level) (30# DBs)
  2. Alternating rear step lunges (reverse lunges) (22.5# DBs)
  3. RDL (Romanian deadlift) (42.5# DBs)
  4. Repeat #1-3 two more times

Finisher: one high squat + one reverse lunge each leg + one RDL (repeat this combo for 40 seconds) (27.5# DBs)
